The University of Washington Drug Information Center provides consultation to UWMC-and HMC-affiliated health care practitioners on questions relating to patient care and concerning currently marketed, investigational, or foreign drug products. The Drug Information Center publishes the annual UW Medicine Drug Formulary, the biweekly Safety-Related Drug Alerts!, and the monthly Drug Therapy Topics newsletter. The Drug Information Center maintains the UW Pharmacy Resources Network (PRN) web site for drug-related issues of interest to UWMC, HMC, and UWPN practitioners, and this related site for staff recruitment. A supplement to the newsletter, Drug Therapy Topics Supplement, written by Dean Emeritus Milo Gibaldi, Ph.D., Professor of Pharmaceutics and Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy, UW School of Pharmacy, is also distributed monthly by the Drug Information Center.
