As part of the UW Academic Medical Center, our mission is to provide innovative pharmaceutical care enhanced by a strong commitment to teaching, research and community service.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to set the national standard for the provision of care. To achieve recognition as leaders in providing fully integrated patient centered pharmaceutical care through innovative, safe, cost-effective and accessible pharmacy services. As well as provide excellence in research and teaching. To accomplish this we will:

1. Provide a professional and supportive environment with a commitment to continuous training and development.
2. Implement and maintain safe medication use systems.
3. Provide expertise in pharmacotherapy as collaborators on the healthcare team.
4. Explore emerging technologies and information systems to advance pharmacy services.
5. Enhance our financial contribution to the organization by promoting cost effective drug therapies and utilization management initiatives.
6. Collaborate with the UW School of Pharmacy for teaching, research, publications and presentations on various aspects of patient care.
7. Train and mentor future practitioners through the pharmacy residency and intern program.
8. Support meaningful health literacy in our patients.
